Your Ideal Weight Results.

Clinical formulas calculate your healthy body weight range based on height and body structure.

WHO Healthy Weight Range

60 – 81 kg

Recommended healthy weight range for your height based on BMI bounds 18.5 to 24.9.

Devine Formula (1974)

73.0 kg (161 lbs)

Standard clinical dosing formula.

Robinson Formula (1983)

71.0 kg (157 lbs)

Modified clinical weight model.

Miller Formula (1983)

71.5 kg (158 lbs)

Height-indexed weight equation.

How Ideal Weight Range is Determined

There is no single "perfect" number when it comes to body weight. Instead, medical professionals specify a **healthy range** based on height. CalorieBlueprint computes this range by using the World Health Organization's bounds for a healthy Body Mass Index (18.5 to 24.9).

The equations to determine your upper and lower limits are:

  • Minimum Healthy Weight: 18.5 × (height in meters)²
  • Maximum Healthy Weight: 24.9 × (height in meters)²

Traditional Clinical Formulas

Historically, doctors used explicit mathematical models to estimate a single "ideal weight" value for drug dosing. While less flexible than BMI ranges, they provide historical perspective:

Devine Formula (1974)

Most common equation for medical dosing calculations.

Men: 50.0 kg + 2.3 kg per inch over 5 feet
Women: 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg per inch over 5 feet

Robinson Formula (1983)

Modifies the Devine equation to slightly alter weight rates.

Men: 52.0 kg + 1.9 kg per inch over 5 feet
Women: 49.0 kg + 1.7 kg per inch over 5 feet
